Principal’s welcome

On behalf of our school community I welcome you to Beerburrum State School.

We are a professional and caring learning community with a focus on continuous improvement in your children’s educational outcomes. Our school is committed to engaging students in purposeful learning. There are high expectations for the success of all students; with programs designed and delivered through teaching practices based on your child’s learning needs. Success is acknowledged and celebrated.

All students have the right to learn in a safe and supportive learning environment - within our caring environment all school community members treat each other with respect and take responsibility for their actions. This is supported by our three school rules: Be Safe, Be a Learner and Be Respectful. Our students take pride in displaying these qualities and supporting their peers.

We are proud of the involvement and support we receive from our community in managing our school and assisting with supporting our teachers and students. Our Parents and Citizens' Association is an important school community group that plays an integral role in representing the interests of parents and students. Our Grandparents help out in classrooms, with gardening and with our cooking program. They love taking part in our Grandparents’ Day activities. Our Chaplain supports student well-being through her small group programs at lunch times and provides a weekly Breakfast Club. There are lots of opportunities for you and your child to become part of our school community.

Drop in to tour the school, see our lovely school grounds and to meet me.  We look forward to working with you to develop your child’s learning and well-being.
